Prerequisite for the overnight stay in youth hostels is the membership in the German youth hostel (DJH). The costs for this can be found at http://www.jugendherberge-sachsen.de/mitgliedschaft/mitglied-werden/
You can reach the youth hostel by bus and train from Central Station. You can reach the youth hostel with the following transport:
- Strassenbahn line 2 and 6/522 from the main station to the central station (about 400 m walk)
- Bus no. 32 (direction Rabenstein) to the bus stop “Getreidemarkt”.

You can reach the youth hostel by bus and train from Central Station. Please try to arrive at the youth hostel before 22:00.
You can reach the youth hostel with the following transport:
- Tram line 5 (direction Gablenz) until 00:30, stop Pappelhain
- Bus Chemnitz-Augustusburg until 5 pm, the bus stops directly in front of the youth hostel (stop Walther-Klippel-Strasse).

The KOSMOS Hostel is located about 1.7 km from the main train station Chemnitz. Just follow the main road “Road of the Nations” to their end.
Private accommodation / shared rooms for temporary rent
Students enrolled in private accommodation or shared rooms should make sure that the indicated rents do not represent a flat-rate rent. In addition to the rental payments, there are additional costs for electricity, heating and water. These costs depend on the consumption.
